What is the future when it comes to music?

Where do you see the music industry going? Everyone says it's over because of free music downloads; what do you think? Is it worth artist to continue to try to call it a business?

WILL EISNERS SPIRIT ARCHIVES HC VOL 01 NEW ADV
WILL EISNER'S THE SPIRIT: THE NEW ADVENTURES ARCHIVES Various (W/A) In 1997, almost six decades after the character's first appearance in 1940, legendary artist and writer Will Eisner gave permission for a new series of stories to be commissioned featuring his signature creation, resurrected detective Denny Colt, also known as the Spirit, written and drawn by the most famous names in the comics industry. The call went out, and the response was nothing short of remarkable, with contributions from such creators as Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons (in one of their rare collaborations since Watchmen), Neil Gaiman (The Sandman), Paul Chadwick (Concrete), and Eddie Campbell (From Hell), amongst others. In these pages you'll find new tales of Central City's protector versus familiar villains such as the Octopus and Sand Saref; witness his undying love for Ellen Dolan, daughter of Commissioner Dolan, the only man to know his secret identity; and glimpse what might be the Spirit's fate in an uncertain future.

MF GRIMM Virtual Meet and Greet

Hey everyone,

To commemorate the re-launch of Day By Day Entertainment (just a few weeks back), I sat down with a few of my colleagues and closest fans in a virtual town hall format (courtesy of our friends over at Vokle.com).

We plan on doing more of these in the future. Vokle.com has done a great job so far, but they have a lot more to show us. Likewise, I'll be sure to come through with a better connection. My face is not usually all blurry like that. Make sure you participate in the next conversation. I'll be sure to give you a shout out!

For now, here's a peek at what went on in the last event:

Thanks for reading/watching.

Nina Storey, A Novel Listen

Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.

Recently, I was fortunate to hear about singer Nina Storey. I read up on Nina. She seemed like a sweet lady. I listened to a few of her tracks. She has an even sweeter voice. Both her demeanor and talent have garnered increasing fan following and positive press coverage.

If you can spare the brief moment, watch one of Nina's recent music videos (below). I think you'll agree this woman has some soul. Her voice is soothing.

Frankly, I'm digging her music greatly and just want you to have the same opp!

Nina will be performing at the Hotel Cafe this coming Tuesday (9/8/09). The show begins at 8pm. I'm venturing to see if she sounds this good live. I'm thinking, yes.

Have a good week.

Diamond Distribution Point of Sale System: Will it help change the face of comic book retail?

While at ComicCon 2009 I had the opportunity to interview Diamond Distribution about their P.O.S. system for comic book retail stores.

I will follow-up this entry with a round table discussion with several comic book retail stores and see what their opinion is on life with Diamond's P.O.S. system.

I would like to take this time to thank the entire Diamond distribution staff for being so helpful throught this process.

Fans and retailers alike: I would appreciate some feedback about the short interview with Diamond. Thank you.

Percy
