MF GRIMM Virtual Meet and Greet

Hey everyone,

To commemorate the re-launch of Day By Day Entertainment (just a few weeks back), I sat down with a few of my colleagues and closest fans in a virtual town hall format (courtesy of our friends over at Vokle.com).

We plan on doing more of these in the future. Vokle.com has done a great job so far, but they have a lot more to show us. Likewise, I'll be sure to come through with a better connection. My face is not usually all blurry like that. Make sure you participate in the next conversation. I'll be sure to give you a shout out!

For now, here's a peek at what went on in the last event:

Thanks for reading/watching.

Nina Storey, A Novel Listen

Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.

Recently, I was fortunate to hear about singer Nina Storey. I read up on Nina. She seemed like a sweet lady. I listened to a few of her tracks. She has an even sweeter voice. Both her demeanor and talent have garnered increasing fan following and positive press coverage.

If you can spare the brief moment, watch one of Nina's recent music videos (below). I think you'll agree this woman has some soul. Her voice is soothing.

Frankly, I'm digging her music greatly and just want you to have the same opp!

Nina will be performing at the Hotel Cafe this coming Tuesday (9/8/09). The show begins at 8pm. I'm venturing to see if she sounds this good live. I'm thinking, yes.

Have a good week.

She's Not Toying Around

Hey there! I hope the week is treating you all well.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce you to a friend of mine, Michael Chavez Booth. He'll be helping me out here and there with the show.

BOOM goes the dynamite!!! (Sorry, I wanted to introduce you to a new catchphrase of mine as well ... I think it's hilarious)

Thanks, Percy!

Ritzy Periwinkle. Yes, Ritzy. Yes, Periwinkle. Her name complements her uniqueness. And that's a thing of beauty.

Ritzy is an artist who has recently partnered with Master of the Widget, LLC., our new strategic innovation company (find us here). From sketches to graphic design, Ritzy has been highly lauded for her efforts, especially recently.

She's been doing so well, Missomnimedia.com, or M.I.S.S. as it's better known, gave her tribute. She was named a Women Making History honoree. As you'll see, Ritzy has done a lot in her short career. I'm loving her newest accomplishment. It's a toy, and yet, a work of art!

Ritzy was featured as one of the designers of the BIC Buddy Artist Series 1. You can see the work in the M.I.S.S. article (find link above). But here's a sneak peak (she did the one in the middle!)

Obviously, I'm excited to see what other projects Ritzy has coming our way. I'll definitely keep you updated. But until then, check out Ritzy's past and current work at ritzyperiwinkle.com.

I don't have any clever catch phrases like P. So I'll just sign out.

Des Taylor Works With Style

Recently, my assistant Michael Chavez Booth met up with young designer Jazmin Whitley to deliver her personalized issue of "The Trouble With Katie Rogers." When creator Des Taylor caught wind of the exchange, he was delighted. Here is what Des wrote:

Jazmin Whitley, star of MTV's new series HOUSE OF JAZMIN gets her copy of Des Taylor's graphic novel “The Trouble With Katie Rogers”.
Percy Carey's assistant, Mike Chavez Booth, who met Jazmin on the red carpet of her season premiere launch party in L.A. delivered the novel.

"Booth tells me she was so excited with it,” said creator Des Taylor.

Katie Rogers appears in a Li Cari designed dress (Jazmin's clothing label) in the graphic novel.

MTV’s new fashion inspired series follows the life of Jazmin Whitley, a 20 year-old fashion designer who is trying to balance life as a young adult while juggling the duties of a growing fashion brand.

Whitley, designer of the Li Cari fashion house had her very first fashion show at her school San Marino High School, it was a huge hit. She then started creating one of a kinds for talents and socialites and one piece turned into a 36 piece collection for her first LA fashion week. Which launched the Li Cari clothing label in Los Angeles, March 2006 as the finale of Los Angeles fashion week. With multiple fall and spring collections being featured, a tour around European Fashion Week, as well as New York and Los Angeles.

Viewers will get an inside look at Jazmin’s journey to make a mark on the fashion industry. From sketching and puling fabrics to selecting models that bring her designs to life on the catwalk, Jazmin has her hands full. Though Jazmin is the talented designer and master mind behind the Li Cari line, it is the support of her family and friends that propels the brand to new heights.

Her new series "House of Jazmin" airs Tuesday evenings at 10:30 pm ET/PT on Mtv.
